No More Incinerators has found out that OPAL and SUEZ are seeking a meeting with the Environment Minister, Matt Kean to get an exemption from the recent announcement banning the burning waste in the Sydney basin. And we need your help now!
So why is this a bad idea?
If granted, Suez could submit their EIS in the next 4 – 6 weeks to get approval to build their incinerator!
To stop this happening, we need each resident to write objections to Matt Kean and Rob Stokes ASAP – before Suez and Opal meet with them.
So how do you object?
Head to NMI’s Object page and follow the prompts to object directly to Matt Kean and Rob Stokes Ministerial offices. Click here: https://nomoreincinerators.wordpress.com/object/ . This makes sure your objection is registered as official correspondence and you get a reply. Make sure you ask for a meeting.
If you want you can also email the ministers directly. Their personal email addresses are:
Matt.Kean@parliament.nsw.gov.au
Rob.Stokes@parliament.nsw.gov.au
Our “Object” page has 3 sample letters you can copy from so it’s easy – it takes just 5 mins to write to both of them!
Will you be affected? Check here: https://youtu.be/RO_PCzg4XRg
Thanks in advance!

Absolutely imperative that the Suez proposal is rejected; And furthermore not transferred to anywhere else either.
