A Poor Response From Suez

Some time ago the Matraville Precinct provided a list of Community Questions to Suez and OPAL to determine how they would look after the health of the community and protect the environment. Unfortunately their responses have been less than satisfactory. And given the lack of any meaningful legislation from the NSW EPA we’ve decided to post these questions to assist other groups determine the competency of the waste to energy companies they are dealing with.

Suez is a serial re-offender and has been fined for breaches of it’s NSW Environmental Protection Licences (EPLs) on numerous occasions. See a list of their latest breaches and convictions here:

  1. absolutely inconceivable to allow this incinerator to go ahead, for goodness sake, it would be madness.It must be stopped!
